Who would know… that by looking at different trees that, underneath the dark, brown bark, reveals a treasure of color, texture, sweet aromas and natural beauty – all ingredients for making art! It’s like Forrest Gump’s famous quote. “Life is like a box of chocolate; you never know what your gonna get!” Putting different colors together and assembling them in creative ways, I never know what I’m gonna get! In this case, cutting up these wood species in bite size pieces reminds me of receiving an elegantly wrapped box of exotic candy. Examining the shapes and colors of each piece looking for the
perfect one that captures my fancy and imagining the surprise inside. A colorful assortment of bite size yummies!
