At the time, my dog Heidi had passed suddenly and unexpectedly the week or so before. I was “in the zone” working in my shop when I unconsciously began to form this piece. After about an hour, the resemblance was undeniable. This was my tribute to my best friend and faithful companion for the last 9 years – almost to the day!
